Football gossip: Bale, Hummels, Sturridge, Benteke, Firmino...

The absence of injured Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge, 25, until September will see Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers target a proven striker in the summer, with Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke, 24, under consideration. (The Times - subscription required) 
Midfielder Yaya Toure, 31, is almost certain to leave Manchester City this summer, with the midfielder's agent claiming his client is "90% certain" to depart the club. (Sky Sports)
